FIRST LEGO League
Eastlake High School’s FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Robotics Team, TitanBot FRC #2543, hosted their 15th annual FIRST LEGO League (FLL) Qualifying Tournament on Saturday, November 1st, 2025. 20 teams had the opportunity to compete with hopes of advancing to the FIRST Championship. The event is free and open to the public and will be hosted in Chula Vista at the Eastlake High School gymnasium.
About
In the 2025 challenge, UNEARTHED students will follow the traces of the past: uncover hidden treasures, mysterious artifacts, and forgotten stories. Young engineers, ages 9 to 14, will work together to design and program small-scale autonomous LEGO robots. These robots will complete missions that simulate archaeological exploration, allowing teams to score points based on their creativity and technical skills. Each team will compete in three 2.5-minute rounds to achieve their highest game score. In addition to the robot game, teams will present their robot design, core values, and a research project focused on innovative solutions to real-world archaeological challenges. Judges and referees will include volunteers from TitanBot.

The event will feature demonstrations of robots from the FIRST Robotics Competition, FIRST Tech Challenge, and FIRST LEGO League. Special guests, including dignitaries from the Eastlake Educational Foundation and Sweetwater Union High School District will be in attendance.
